Originally from Turkey, Elif recently moved to a beachside town for her marine biology career. While she enjoys the relaxed lifestyle and natural beauty, she often misses the culture, food, and scents of home. Elif seeks products that evoke Turkish elements through scents, flavors, or designs to blend her beachside life with her roots.

Location: Coastal town near the beach

Conceptual Sketching

Phase 1

Sizing and Ergonomic Prototypes

Customers.png

The handle being low made it difficult to hold

The handle was too thin to hold a normal hand

The handles are placed in unrealistic positions

The round from resembled a tea pot then a coffee pot

The sizing of the handles were an improvement

Overall satisfactory on the proportion

3-D Prototypes

The two handles shown below are to represent the two different parts in the set.
The cone bottom was added to provide ability to hold down the tea set in the sand.

Packaging

Phase 2

Conceptual Sketching

Untitled_Artwork+16.png

Using Bristol paper, I ideated 4 different physical models for the packaging.

Early Concept Ideations

IMG_7341.png

1st Model

The vertical style was impractical

The model lacked storage

IMG_7342.png

2nd Model

The opening would have made the carrier more impractical to carry

IMG_7345.png

3rd Model

The style felt more of a jewelry box

4th Model

The handle made it easy to carry

The frames to hold the tea kettle helped improved the portability
